Safeguarding Children during Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The CSCP acknowledge that the current COVID-19 crisis is impacting all agencies which provide support to children and families. Safeguarding continues to be a priority, however we recognise that we may have to do some things differently.

As a partnership we have created these web pages to act as a single point of access for anybody who needs information and resources regarding safeguarding children during the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Government guidance may change over the coming days and weeks so please make sure you are kept informed and up to date with any new advice or guidance being produced, and adjust your ways of working as appropriate. We will update this page as more information is made available.

If you would like to share any resources or information that is not already covered on the website please email: CSCP@cumbria.gov.uk

All multi agency meetings, including strategy meetings, initial and review child protection conferences, CLA review, CERAR Process meetings and MARAC meetings will be arranged as telephone conferencing if unable to meet face to face.  Those involved in meetings will receive communication regarding expectations around any report/update submissions and instructions on how to dial in to calls.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the CSCP are continuing to deliver certain training courses virtually via Microsoft Teams.
