BARROW WOMEN'S COMMUNITY MATTERS
- This service offers help and support to women and their families via One-to-One support, courses, groups, drop-ins and organised activities.
GATEWAY FOR WOMEN - Gateway 4 Women is a not-for-profit organisation offering support to all women in a safe, welcoming and women-only space. We support women with a range of vulnerabilities, including; mental wellbeing, homelessness and housing related difficulties, those undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation, those suffering domestic abuse, debt and money management, and social isolation, to name a few. We are open to all women – some may simply wish to come down for a chat and a cuppa and meet new people!

WOW - WELCOME TO WOMEN OUT WEST - A new women's centre in Whitehaven which covers Allerdale and Copeland Areas. Welcome to Women out West have a range of events each month, go along and chat at one of their drop in sessions. FREEDOM PROJECT (WEST CUMBRIA DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUPPORT GROUP) - They provide a confidential telephone helpline, free professional counselling and a weekly support group facilitated by qualified therapist and trainers. They help the whole family recover from the effects of domestic and sexual abuse. They support you whether you are still in an abusive relationship or have left - full emotional and practical support will be provided.
